Stairways
A stairway, otherwise known as a staircase frame, is used as a base for the stair treads to be installed and to form the final staircase.
Staircases come in different types: single central staircase, double central staircase with the staircase on both sides.
Staircases can be formed with a pitch in the middle, through a turn or straight. It all depends on the dimensions of the opening for forming the staircase.
Choosing the right stair shape, step heights and widths in the home can lead to a comfortable walking experience. The height of the staircase should not exceed 190 mm and the width should be approximately between 250 and 290 mm.
Stair railings
Stair railings, also known as internal railings, can be installed on top of the steps or on the side of the stair treads.
